Prevailing Wage
The Village of Hawthorn Woods complies with the State of Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, 820 ILCS 130/0.01 et seq. Annually, the Village passes an Ordinance ascertaining the prevailing rate of wages for laborers, mechanics and other workers employed on public works construction projects of the Village of Hawthorn Woods. The current prevailing wage rates are available on the Illinois Department of Labor website.
