Hawthorn Woods has contracted with Global Connect, a strategic voice messaging service based in New Jersey, to provide emergency web-based notification services for the Village of Hawthorn Woods. The system will allow village officials to send time-sensitive telephone and/or email messages to all village residents within minutes of an emergency. Emergency notifications may consist of road closures, severe weather, boil orders, missing persons, evacuation orders, etc. Residents will also have the choice to receive informational, non-emergency notifications, such as community event notices.
